Our Story

Our story begins with Gianluca and Michele, lifelong friends from Naples, brought together by a shared love for Italian cuisine. After years in London’s bustling food scene, they visited Gozo, Malta, and instantly fell for the island’s beauty and charm. It was here that Casa Vostra came to life.

 

Drawn to the island’s charm and slower rhythm of life, they opened Casa Vostra in the heart of Victoria. What started as a passion project quickly became known as one of the go-to spots for pizza in Gozo, built on consistency, creativity, and a genuine connection with guests.

 

We don’t only believe in great food here at Casa Vostra, we’re passionate about creating unforgettable experiences. Our vision is to combine tradition with innovation, experimenting with new flavours. Our menu is constantly evolving from new ideas and inspiration; that’s why, aside from our traditional Neapolitan-style pizza, we’re always pushing forward with different styles of dough to bring you more.

 

We believe that exceptional food in Gozo deserves exceptional service, and from the moment you walk in, whether it’s your first visit or you’re part of our extended family, it’s about making you feel at home. That’s why service is at the core of everything we do.

 

After five years of firing up the oven, full tables, and a community that kept coming back, Gianluca and Michele knew that it was time for something more.

 

In 2025, Casa Vostra was proud to open their second restaurant: Casa Vostra Slice 2 Go. Slice 2 Go is our takeaway concept built with the same obsession for quality, just designed for a different way of eating. Find out more about our al taglio style takeaway restaurant here.

 

In 2026, Casa Vostra was proud to attend The Best Pizza Awards in Milan for the second year in a row, where our very own pizzaiolo, founder and owner, Gianluca, was awarded as ‘One To Follow’ in the pizza world. We are so proud to be acknowledged internationally and make it onto a list of truly sublime pizzerias around the world. All we can say is… There’s more to come!
